PICK UP FROM HOTEL
We will collect you from your hotel in one of our comfortable vehicles at around 7.30am. On our way to the Loire Valley our licensed guide will give you an introduction to the history of the area. It's a 3 hour drive so we'll stop on the way to grab a coffee take a restroom break when required.
CASTLE 1 - AMBOISE
Château d'Amboise is one of the finest, most beautiful and smallest of the three castles we will visit. Admire the 15th century furniture collection and household items on display here. We will also visit the grave of Leonardo da Vinci who was laid to rest here in a small chapel in the gardens.
We will make a stop for lunch nearby. Here we recommend a gastronomic restaurant to enjoy a relaxed meal. You can speak to your guide for options.
CASTLE 2 - CHAMBORD
After lunch we'll head to Chambord Castle which is the largest in the Loire Valley and the picture of French Renaissance architecture. Surrounded by a large moat, this castle is post-card perfect. Your licensed guide will take you for a personalized tour inside the castle and show you the many highlights including a spectacular double spiral staircase that is perhaps the work of Leonardo da Vinci himself.
CASTLE 3 - CHENONCEAU
Next we will visit the spectacular and lavish Chenonceau Castle on River Cher where you will have a personalized guided tour. Chenonceau is probably the most beautiful castle on our itinerary and after Versailles it is the most visited in France. Your guide will tell you all about its history and why it is known as the Ladies' Château.
RETURN TO HOTEL
Once the tour concludes we will start the drive back to Paris. We aim to return you to your hotel at around 7.30pm. If you’d prefer to be dropped off at a restaurant or bar to continue your day in Paris, then please let us know.
